Tomorrow...

Tomorrow, it is finally time for release! We - eFinance Nordic AB - launch our flexible, customer-focused payment solution Billmate! Now it starts for real! We are ready! (:

What am I doing at eFinance? Right now, I open up and fix with social media communication channels for our company, doing some market research, plan for a communications strategy, prepare for upcoming communications activities, and of course assist with everything that is needed at the office now in our hectic pre-release times! It's fun, and I really learn a lot!

I hope Carl gets home soon! I think we're going for take-out food tonight... !

Have a great evening :)

Run.

Many trips to Malmö for me now, but it's fun to work! It feels very exciting to be included in the launch of Billmate!

Today, Tim and I have fixed a lot for the event, and also prepared some other things that will happen after, when we are more "official".

Got home at 6. Went for a short run in my new work out clothes.

Jeans.

On my way to Malmö. Trains are stil late, or cancelled, but the storm seems to be gone here. Hopefully I get home today :D

Today feels like a jeans day. And we have a lot to do at work. We're getting closer to the release day!

The storm

I managed to take one of the last trains back to Copenhagen from Malmö. A big storm is here. During the day, I could not really see a storm was coming. Then, we heard at the office that many train departures were cancelled here in southern Sweden. Trains between Malmö and Copenhagen were not affected then, but later they cancelled all traffic there as well. I was lucky to get back I guess!

When I came to Copenhagen, I met the storm. It was difficult to walk, since it felt like I could blow away. Jumped on the bus to Nörrebro, and felt that I was "afraid" to cross the street over to our apartment because of the wind. That the wind wasn't controllable. But it went well :) Carl also had some problems on his way home, but now he's here :)

Right now. I was lucky to get home!!

Billmate.

Today, Tim and I have prepared a lot for the release of Billmate. The release event is on thursday, so it is a lot of things that need to be fixed before that. Also, a lot of other things of course. Since I will be the social media manager, we have created accounts on the biggest social media sites we find suitable for eFinance. We'll see what works :)

Today, I also visited another company who had asked for some advice regarding social media communication. I learn a lot from meeting many companies from different industries, since the best type of communication and social media activities really differ. Maybe I will have some kind of involvement in that company's social media communication as well. Their office is located in the house beside ours :)

And today, we could also read at ehandel.se about our new service Billmate. I really believe in what we are doing, and think that Billmate will become a big success! Read the article here:

Image.

Petter showed me this video yesterday. When your company is active on social media, it is important to think about what kind of image you want to have, and also if that image fits for the target group you have chosen for your business. With this video, Dollar Shave Club feels like a friend , a buddy you want to hang out with. And I think it works for them, and for their business purpose. And for their intended target group. However, for some companies I don't think the consumers would appreciate this kind of communication/image. Or what do you think?

Dots.

Good morning! Woke up very happy today, excited. I have so many people around me that inspire me, motivate me. Love to you <3

When it comes to fashion, I love dots. I don't know how many dresses and blouses I have with dots on.

LUND

Today, I went to Lund and spent the afternoon with Petter. We started working with a Facebook strategy for his and Stefan's company Sparfabriken, and also discussed some other important issues regarding the business, marketing and communication. It is very important to have a plan, a strategy, when having a Facebook page, You can't just create a page - you must communicate, interact, be creative :)

I just wonder, how much value do media put on referencing nowadays? Do they think it is OK to steal info from others and present it as their own fact?

Tomorrow I had planned to attend a sales course that Promoters AB organises, but they called tonight and told me it has been cancelled. So I guess I will stay home, working with the article and other research instead.

Official.

Now it is officially announced (Twitter, Facebook) that I'll be the social media manager at eFinance Nordic AB. I really look forward to it! Want to start noooow. On friday, I will meet Tim who is the marketing manager, and we will discuss how we will work with marketing and communication, AND plan for a very exciting event.

Today, I'm going to Lund to have a meeting with Petter. We will discuss the Facebook strategy for his and Stefan's company :) I really enjoy to work with these guys!

I mostly dress in black, white and beige. This blue dress with white dots is one of very few colorful pieces in my closet. Dress from H&M, blazer a second hand bargain, bag from MEXX.

For now, have a good day :)

Meeting.

Today, I had a meeting with our neighbors who run a business where they make inspirational posters. They are really passionate about their business, and it is very fun to work with people who have a genuine interest in what they are doing. I will work for them a bit, don't know how much yet, but assistim them in marketing and communications ideas.

I also tried to write an article today, but it was just not a good writing day today I guess. That's life. Sometimes it flows, sometimes it doesn't. Went for a run instead, but that didn't went too well either. My legs felt heavy. New day tomorrow.

Tomorrow I will meet Petter in Lund, to discuss their social media strategy :) Looking forward!

Carl and I have a new favorite TV-show. A Danish/Swedish one - Broen/Bron. A little scary, but very exciting! When you have seen one episode, you really feel you want to see the next one, and then it goes on like that. We are using Netflix, but I think at least seaon 2 is available at some other streaming sites.

Chanel bags.

A black Chanel 2.55 is my absolute dream bag. And when I get rich I'm gonna buy it! A black one is first priority, but then I want it in all other colors as well ;)

Slogans.

What's your favourite slogan? I like slogans that are short and clear, for example Nike's "Just do it" and Nokia's "Connecting people". I think it is important that a slogan really says something about the business idea and its values. And of course that the company can live up to it! :)

Here are some other slogans by well-known companies and brands.

Harley Davidson – American by Birth. Rebel by Choice.
Volkswagen – Think Small.
Porsche – There is no substitute.
Adidas – Impossible is Nothing.
Calvin Klein – Between love and madness lies obsession.
Marks & Spencer – The customer is always and completely right!
IBM – Solutions for a smart planet.
Sony – Make Believe.
PlayStation – Live in your world. Play in ours.
EA – Challenge everything.
Blogger – Push button publishing.
Nikon – At the heart of the image.
Kodak – Share moments. Share life.
Olympus – Your vision. Our future.
FedEx – When there is no tomorrow.
Red Cross – The greatest tragedy is indifference.
Disneyland – The happiest place on earth.
McDonalds – I’m loving it.
KFC – Finger lickin’ good.
Burger King – Have it your way.
Coca Cola – Twist the cap to refreshment.
M&Ms – Melts in your mouth, not in your hands.
Nokia – Connecting people.
Vodafone – Make the most of now.
Airbus- Setting the Standards.
Boeing - Forever new frontiers.
Dell Computer - Get more out of now.
Ericsson - Taking you forward.
IBM - We make IT happen.
Philips - Sense and simplicity.
Fifa - For the game. For the world.

Friday!

Friday! One of my favorite words ;) This weekend, Carl's parents and brother will visit us. Nice! Today, I have continued with the marketing plan. Carl just got home, and we went outside to have coffee in our yard. Now, he's in town to pick up my boots that I handed in to the shoe maker. I got a good impression there, so I up they live up to that!

Me and the fall.

7 Social media tips...

... from the super entrepreneur Richard Brandson, founder of Virgin Group. This is just a summary, find more at these sites:   Richard Branson's blog., Forbes

7 Social Media Tips You Can Learn From Richard Branson
  1. Tell stories. “People respond to stories, not data.”
  2. Be creative. “Experiment with new ways of telling stories and make the most of all the new tools out there like Tumblr and Storify.”
  3. Choose the right channel. “Match your content to different platforms and audiences.”
  4. Be truthful. “Don’t pretend you’re something you’re not.”
  5. Work together. “Collaborate with people and organizations who are fighting for the same cause.”
  6. Have fun. “Work should be fun and making work fun brings success.”

Hats.

Many people say I should wear hats more often, that it suits me. I don't know? I like hats, and I think many people do, but not too many actually wear them? Maybe because they feel they "stick out" too much. In a bigger city, I guess it is easier to not stick out, if that's what's you want. There are so many people who try to stick out from the crowd, so here in Copenhagen I guess nobody would notice someone just because of a hat. In Hudiksvall or Umeå, a hat would be enough I think.

Ad Wars.

Several companies choose to create an ad war. They include competitors in their own ads, with the purpose of making themselves seem better than other alternatives on the market. It is not illegal, but many argue that it is not how business should be conducted, and that it is not a fair way to market your company.

What do you think about it?
